Connected in The Word 5-27-26

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

It's the last day of school at Immanuel.  It’s been a great year.  Our new principal, Mr. Pehlke, has been a wonderful addition.  Our teachers & support staff were amazing.  Mrs. Nitz & Mrs. Kortze from the church did a wonderful job with special activities and chapel planning.  We are blessed with amazing facilities, a beautiful campus, and excellent resources from books to smartboards.  Parents, grandparents, and members of the congregation gave of their time to coach, organize fundraisers, act as reading buddies, and so much more for students.  Of course, our school would be nothing without our incredible students and families.  Thanks to everyone who makes Immanuel awesome.

All three of my children went to Immanuel and our family was extremely blessed because of it.  My kids were prepared to thrive in high school and beyond.  But Immanuel wasn’t just a place for my kids to get ready for what comes next.  It was a place they just loved to be.  Immanuel felt like home for my kids – Not because their dad worked there, but because at Immanuel they were cared for by loving adults that knew Jesus!  They didn’t need to leave Jesus at home when they went to school.  There’s no doubt that the years spent in pre-k to 8th grade at Immanuel and the years spent in high school at Rockford Lutheran helped shape who my kids are today (Brilliant, High-Achieving, Compassionate, Believers in Jesus).

God has Called His Church to “Go Make Disciples” and one of the ways this happen is through Lutheran Schools!  If you have a school-aged child or grandchild – I highly recommend considering a local Lutheran School like Immanuel Belvidere, Rockford Lutheran, or Zion in Marengo.  How can you support your local Lutheran School?  Are you a teacher looking for a new challenge, a grandparent with gifts to share, or someone with financial resources to help support the ministry?  Whatever the case – Lutheran Schools are always worth the investment!
